What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain Python-based tools and applications that support our AI and infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on clean, modular, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy AI-assisted solutions that enhance our development workflows
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring smooth automation of build, test, and deployment processes
- Work with version control systems (Git/GitLab) as part of our daily development practices, including code reviews and collaborative pull requests
- Explore and integrate GenAI concepts and large language models (LLMs) into practical applications that drive real business value
- Support infrastructure and DevOps initiatives, including containerization and orchestration technologies, and modern SRE-inspired practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (completed or completing this academic year)
- Strong Python programming skills and the ability to write clear, maintainable code for scripts and small tools
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including modular code design, testing, and code reviews
- Familiarity with Git version control workflows (commits, branches, merges, pull requests)
- A foundational understanding of CI/CD concepts (build, test, deploy automation) and automation principles
- Genuine curiosity about GenAI, LLMs, and modern AI-assisted development tools, with a willingness to learn and experiment
- Bash or other scripting skills on Linux/Unix systems
- Experience working with GitLab (repositories, merge requests)
- Experience creating or maintaining GitLab CI pipelines
- Hands-on exposure to CI/CD tools and workflows in practice
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (for example GitHub Copilot, Codeium, or similar) as part of development
- Experience or understanding of Google SRE concepts (for example reliability, observability, error budgets)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (for example Docker, Kubernetes)
