We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our UAV software team and

contribute to the development of Ground Control Station (GCS) applications based on

QGroundControl. The ideal candidate should have experience with C++, Qt/QML, and MAVLink,

along with an understanding of UAV systems and mission planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize QGroundControl based on project requirements.
  • Design and implement new features using C++, Qt, and QML.
  • Integrate UAV payload controls, telemetry, and mission management features into the GCS.
  • Develop custom UI components for monitoring and controlling UAV operations.
  • Implement MAVLink-based communication between the Ground Control Station and flight controller.
  • Integrate video streaming, map services, and mission planning functionalities.
  • Debug communication, telemetry, and software performance issues.
  • Work closely with firmware, embedded, and hardware teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Perform field testing and validate software during flight operations.
  • Maintain technical documentation and manage source code using Git.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of C++.
  • Hands-on experience with Qt Framework and QML.
  • Experience modifying and building QGroundControl.
  • Good understanding of the MAVLink protocol.
  • Familiarity with Git version control.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows development environments.
  • Understanding of UAV architecture and flight controller communication.
  • Experience with debugging and software testing.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ArduPilot or PX4.
  • Knowledge of GStreamer for video streaming.
  • Experience integrating RTSP, UDP, or camera feeds into QGroundControl.
  • Familiarity with Mapbox, OpenStreetMap, or other mapping services.
  • Experience with serial communication, TCP/UDP networking, and telemetry systems.
  • Basic knowledge of ROS/ROS2 and companion computer integration.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics,
  • Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in UAV software, autonomous systems, and Ground Control Station development.
