Join Sixtant: Clojure and platform development

As the Clojure and platform development expert on the engineering and trading team, you will add features to the core trading and order management system, improve the trading strategies, and improve the data structures and libraries (limit order books, data feeds, trading connections, etc.) they depend on.

Every member of the engineering and trading team works at all levels of the trading stack, but brings a particular skill set to help the team in some core area. Everyone has the opportunity to work on a variety of improvements to the trading platform and supporting infrastructure — including the implementation of order execution and trading logic — and see their efforts directly impact trading. Bonuses are uncapped and in proportion to the firm’s trading performance.

Since 2020, Sixtant has been a fully remote company and now has team members across the Americas and Europe.

What you will work on

Crypto Markets Are Dynamic, And We Act Quickly To Take Advantage Of New Opportunities. It Is Often Not Possible To Know In Advance What That Will Entail, But You Will Likely Find Yourself Working On Some Of The Following Projects

• Improvements to our Clojure trading connection library (adding new features and exchanges).
• Designing and building a market data streaming platform.
• Improvements to our Clojure order management system.
• Improvements to the REPL environment that controls trading deployments.

This position involves spending a significant portion amount of time both writing code and interacting with market structure and trade execution. You should be equally comfortable taking ownership of long-term projects as quickly shipping one-off solutions, and expect to do both.

Requirements

• Expert Clojure skills; you have designed and built non-trivial production systems in Clojure.
• Familiarity with trading and market structure (limit orders, limit order books, etc).
• You have opinions about what makes a library’s design “good”.

Experience With Crypto Is a Plus, But Not Required.
