As an Edge Artificial Intelligence & Connectivity Specialist at Nestlé Deep Tech Center, your mission is to accelerate Deep Tech and Connectivity innovations by turning business and technical opportunities into rapid, end-to-end proof of concepts that combine electronics, vision systems, connected devices, backend services and application prototyping. You’ll make a difference by collaborating closely in electronics, firmware, data and business teams to create connected solutions that enable faster learning and evidence-based decisions. How you’ll make an impact as an Edge AI & Connectivity Specialist
- Accelerate rapid proof of concept development using vision systems, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), machine learning and artificial intelligence-enabled methods to validate high-impact business opportunities.
- Translating consumer, business and technical needs into testable prototypes, clear validation plans and practical recommendations for next steps.
- Building reusable software components, building blocks, data assets and demonstrators, improving speed, quality and repeatability across projects.
- Integrating prototypes with cameras, sensors, connectivity, embedded platforms, edge devices, cloud services and user-facing applications for real-world demonstrations.
- Driving short development cycles with clear scope, success criteria, risks and evidence-based recommendations.
- Bringing strong academic background and hands-on capability in vision systems, machine learning, connected devices, sensors and edge computing to develop practical prototypes from idea to demonstration.
- Applying strong programming skills, especially in C, C++, Python, Kotlin or similar languages, to develop, test, optimize and integrate models and software components.
- Using data collection, lab experimentation, model evaluation and variability analysis to make robust technical recommendations.
- Collaborating and integrating easily into a development team with an agile mindset, adapting to constant change, and shifting priorities when business or technical needs evolve.
- Communicating fluently in English and presenting and complex technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
