System Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
• Analyze information, draft engineering standards and specifications, and evaluate the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to ensure work of the required quality is delivered and to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
• Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
• Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
• Identify, elicit, and document user/project requirements, using appropriate modeling technique if required. Outline verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.

Knowledge / Experience

• Work with full competence to employ customer-oriented behaviors that help engineers connect with their customers in productive and efficient ways, creating positive, defining moments. Typically working without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
• Work with guidance (but not constant supervision) to produce technical engineering specifications and related materials.
• Work with full competence to manage the documentation, archiving, traceability, changes, and approvals of requirements throughout the project life cycle.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
• Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
• Experience in FuSa and using the APIS-IQ software would be preferred.
• Previous experience as i.e. as System Engineer, Systems Requirements or System Architect.
• Industry standard trainings with a focus on Functional Safety for Automotive Software/Electronics.
• Experience with eDrive and AWD systems.
