Job Description

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a highly skilled and experience Senior Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and verification of the F35 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) and the Power Thermal Management System (PTMS) Update along with continued support of baseline fielded Propulsion and PTMS.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities

As a PTMS/Propulsion Software Engineer Sr you will be responsible for support of PTMS/Propulsion through its entire lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop functional and physical architecture definitions
  • Develop and maintain detailed software requirements
  • Develop and test required hardware/software integration tests within a lab environment.
  • Develop models of the system in order to test software fixes with real aircraft data
  • Collaborate with cross functional engineers to troubleshoot systemic issues as well as aircraft faults.
  • Query fleet data and use data analytics to establish system level requirements based on fleet utilization.

You have deep experience in propulsion performance analysis, stress assessment, and system integration, and you enjoy mentoring junior team members while working closely with cross‑functional Aeronautics disciplines and external propulsion partners.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain an Secret clearance to start.
