🚀 Development Engineer – DECT NR+ / Wireless Communication Systems

🏢 Hybrid, 3-4 days on site, and work from home possible 1-2 days a week

💶 €80 000 - €95 000 - based on relevant experience

5V Tech are working with a close partner, known for their audio and wireless technology, engineering communication systems used across professional and consumer audio applications worldwide.

They're now looking for a Development Engineer to join their team in Hannover, playing a key role in shaping their DECT NR+ based wireless communication systems.

What you'll be working on:

• Developing architecture and DSP algorithms for DECT NR+ based wireless comms

• Running simulations and measurements (performance, robustness, interference, coverage) to shape system requirements

• Contributing to the DECT NR+ stack (PHY/MAC), including implementation, optimisation and debugging in embedded environments

• Owning work packages end to end, from scheduling to risk management

• Leading technical reviews and architecture workshops with key stakeholders

• Representing the company in international standardization bodies and research projects

• Mentoring engineers and producing technical documentation across architecture, specs and test concepts

What they're looking for:

• Master's or Diploma in communications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar

• Several years of hands on experience developing real, shipped products

• Strong wireless background across DECT, Bluetooth, 4G/5G or Wi-Fi. Direct DECT NR+ experience would be ideal

• Solid grasp of DSP, particularly channel coding, time/frequency synchronization and robustness mechanisms

• Embedded C/C++ development, plus confident use of Python and/or MATLAB

• Comfortable working with standards, specs and requirements, ideally with standardization body exposure
