Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Sheer is hiring developers for our Ruby on Rails-based Influencer Marketing Platform.

We are looking for strong junior to mid-level developers (roughly 2+ years of experience) who want to work with a modern Rails stack, real-time data integrations, and an elegant product that thousands of creators and brands rely on.

The role is on-site at our office in Copenhagen NV. We'll begin interviewing in August 2026 and are targeting an October 2026 start date.

About the job:

You will be part of a small, ambitious team working across our Influencer Marketing Platform, which helps brands and agencies collaborate with creators, track results, and grow campaigns efficiently.

You will work closely with our CTO and the product team to:

• Build new product features across backend and frontend (Ruby on Rails + Hotwire + ViewComponents)
• Design data models, APIs, and background jobs for large-scale integrations (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.)
• Improve performance and reliability across our analytics and reporting systems
• Contribute to shaping product direction, architecture, and developer experience

We move fast, ship often, and care deeply about code quality, clarity, and simplicity.

We actively use modern AI tools like Claude Code in our daily work and expect you to do the same, while taking full ownership of the technical decisions, quality, and verification behind everything you ship.

About you:

You might be a great fit if you:

• Have strong technical fundamentals and experience building real web applications
• Know Ruby on Rails or are excited to learn it. Rails experience is a plus, not a requirement
• Are proactive and take ownership. You like following a problem from clarification all the way to production
• Learn fast, ask good questions, and have a feel for when to dig in on your own and when to pull in the team
• Use AI tools as a natural part of your workflow, and treat their output as raw material rather than a finished result
• Have an eye for product quality. You care about the UX and the customer impact
• Communicate clearly and like collaborating directly with founders, customers and designers
• Write clear, well-tested code and contribute to internal tooling
• Bonus: experience with analytics, social APIs, or SaaS products

We speak both Danish and English at Sheer. You don't need to speak Danish, but this is an on-site role in Copenhagen.
