Senior Software Engineer – Pioneering AI-First Imaging for Defence and Autonomy

teqLink is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Sapient Perception and help develop the systems-level software powering next-generation AI imaging technologies. You will combine hands-on software development with technical leadership, shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and influencing products deployed in defence, public safety, and autonomous systems. The role also offers a clear path towards a formal Team Lead position as the company continues to grow.

Your Primary Tasks

• Develop high-performance systems-level software in C++, with hands-on implementation accounting for approximately 70% of your role.
• Define software architecture, establish engineering best practices, set technical standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive technical execution, coordinate engineering activities, and ensure successful delivery of key projects.

Professional Qualifications

We expect you to have an MSc in Engineering or a similar technical background, together with experience developing high-performance systems software:

• C++ proficiency and expertise in software architecture
• Ability to lead technical projects and establish best practices
• Experience writing efficient C++ software for embedded or hardware-constrained platforms.

Desirable Qualifications

• DevOps and infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of drone systems or hardware-software integration.
• Image processing experience
