Position: Specialist, Diagnostic and Commissioning Engineer
Location: Blythewood, SC
Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $80k - $100k/Annum

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:



  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate the concept scope, timelines, and technical validation phases while acting as the core production representative within engineering system teams.


  • Process & Code Development: Develop processes, specifications, and hands-on Python production code to implement the next generation of software-defined vehicles.


  • Technical Triage & Issue Resolution: Support triage during the integration phase and drive the issue resolution process on a specific ECU level (e.g., ADAS, infotainment).


  • Vehicle Validation: Perform rigorous validation and system analysis before final program releases to the assembly line to ensure all diagnostic, security, and architectural requirements are fulfilled.
    Stakeholder Alignment: Partner directly with R&D, the assembly shop floor, and Quality to define precise production requirements and meet organizational objectives.


Must Haves:


  • 4-6 years of professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering (will consider automotive development and production planning.)


  • Proficiency in advanced programming for Python.


  • Knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes.


Plusses:


  • Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as C++, C#, Java or similar.


  • Experience in non-automotive industries that utilize complex diagnostic environments (e.g., John Deere, heavy machinery, or aerospace).


  • Past experience navigating the high-pressure environment of vehicle launch phases and managing pre-series to series of transitions.
