Systems Performance Engineer at BairesDev

As a Systems Performance Engineer, you will specialize in low-level optimization to ensure our Linux-based infrastructure operates at peak efficiency. You will act as the link between high-level application demands and the underlying hardware, fine-tuning the kernel and system resources to handle massive scale.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct deep-dive profiling and tracing of the Linux kernel to identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize CPU scheduling, memory management, and I/O subsystems to improve system throughput and reduce latency.
  • Implement and manage advanced monitoring and observability tools to track hardware-level interactions and system health.
  • Fine-tune kernel parameters and system configurations to align infrastructure performance with specific workload requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide data-driven insights and technical recommendations for hardware and software scaling.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Performance Engineering, or SRE.
  • Proven expertise in low-level systems performance tuning for kernel, CPU, memory, and I/O.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and deep understanding of Linux kernel internals.
  • Hands-on experience with profiling and tracing tools such as eBPF, perf, and Nsight.
  • Strong background in kernel parameter tuning and optimizing hardware-level interactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
