Systems Performance Engineer at BairesDev
As a Systems Performance Engineer, you will specialize in low-level optimization to ensure our Linux-based infrastructure operates at peak efficiency. You will act as the link between high-level application demands and the underlying hardware, fine-tuning the kernel and system resources to handle massive scale.
What You'll Do
- Conduct deep-dive profiling and tracing of the Linux kernel to identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize CPU scheduling, memory management, and I/O subsystems to improve system throughput and reduce latency.
- Implement and manage advanced monitoring and observability tools to track hardware-level interactions and system health.
- Fine-tune kernel parameters and system configurations to align infrastructure performance with specific workload requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide data-driven insights and technical recommendations for hardware and software scaling.
- 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Performance Engineering, or SRE.
- Proven expertise in low-level systems performance tuning for kernel, CPU, memory, and I/O.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and deep understanding of Linux kernel internals.
- Hands-on experience with profiling and tracing tools such as eBPF, perf, and Nsight.
- Strong background in kernel parameter tuning and optimizing hardware-level interactions.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
