Software Test Engineer (firmware testing C/C++)

Are you sick and tired of not being able to make changes even though your changes would automate the process and makes things more efficient? Do you want ownership of the product and to look back and say "I did that, I built it". I think this is worth a chat.

You will be supported by senior software engineers that will guide you if you need it but ultimately you will be in charge of the testing capabilities within the engineering team.

This is a critical hire as it represents a key gap in the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated firmware test frameworks.
• Build and improve test infrastructure and test rigs using Python.
• Code base is in C/C++
• Develop automated testing processes covering:
• Functional testing
• Performance testing
• Multi-device testing
• Hardware-in-the-loop style testing
• Define testing methodologies, benchmarks and success criteria.
• Establish measurable performance metrics that can support customer commitments.
• Analyse test results and identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with firmware, embedded software and machine learning engineers.
• Help formalise and document the company's testing strategy and capability.
