Embedded Software Developer (C++ / Linux) for High-Performance Shuttle Systems (M/F/D)*

The position includes an intensive onboarding phase in Wels, Austria, as well as regular travel to the site for collaboration and coordination with relevant departments.
What you'll be handling:
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance modern embedded software in C++17/20 for Linux-based high-performance shuttle systems, leveraging a modern technology stack including Docker as well as bare-metal and RTOS components.
- Analyze, debug, and optimize system behavior directly on the shuttle, considering the interaction of software, operating systems, hardware, sensors, actuators, and mechanical components.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies (Unit Tests, HIL, SIL), including detailed analysis and interpretation of test results.
- Identify optimization opportunities and develop sustainable technical solution concepts.
- Actively contribute to agile product development projects with a focus on embedded systems and provide technical input to product and system design.
- Completed education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of modern C++17/20, gained through professional experience, academic studies, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, embedded software development, Linux-based systems, and low-level/system-near programming.
- Ability to systematically analyze technical challenges involving software, operating systems, and hardware interactions.
- Strong analytical thinking skills, a structured and self-driven working style, and a high commitment to quality.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).
- Participation in an agile development team, latitude, clear objectives and regular feedback
