We are looking for:
We are seeking a Software Engineer – Networking to join a Telematics team developing innovative connectivity solutions for the automotive industry. In this role, you will contribute to building connected-car platforms that integrate vehicles into the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, working with technologies such as Telematics, 5G, and V2X (vehicle-to-everything).
What you will do:
- Review and analyze software specifications, architecture, and design documents.
- Design software components based on requirements and the existing system architecture.
- Develop and maintain embedded software components using C++ on Linux.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis, implement fixes, and validate solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, functional testing, and unit testing to ensure software quality.
- Analyze existing embedded software to add features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design reviews and follow established automotive software development standards.
- Support the development of complex features and contribute to improving software quality and KPIs.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and Linux.
- Experience developing embedded applications.
- Knowledge of inter-process communication, multithreading, and socket communication.
- Understanding of software development processes and embedded operating systems.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, SomeIP, or CAPI.
- Knowledge of telecommunication technologies (eSIM, VoLTE, 3GPP, VoIP).
- Experience with connectivity technologies (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G).
- Knowledge of UML and Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe).
- Experience with Linux Kernel development, system diagnostics, or software update solutions.
