About The Role

We are looking for a Software Developer (C++ – Desktop GIS) to join a small, high-impact engineering team working on LP360, an industry-leading desktop platform for LiDAR and geospatial data processing. This is a full-stack desktop role where you will contribute across the application — from core data processing algorithms to user interface — in a product used worldwide for surveying, infrastructure, and drone-based mapping workflows.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement new features in the LP360 desktop application
  • Maintain and improve stability (crash fixes, reliability)
  • Optimize performance of key LiDAR data processing tools
  • Integrate external SDKs
  • Contribute to UI/UX improvements (MFC/Codejock)
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams

Technical Environment

  • Languages: C++, Python
  • Frameworks: MFC, Codejock
  • Platform: Windows desktop
  • Build systems: MSBuild, CMake
  • Domain: LiDAR, photogrammetry, SLAM, geospatial processing

Requirements

  • 3–8 years of software development experience
  • Strong C++ proficiency
  • Experience with Windows desktop development
  • Ability to work across UI and backend
  • Strong debugging and performance skills

Nice to Have

  • GIS, LiDAR, or 3D data experience
  • MFC familiarity
  • SDK integrations experience
  • Python scripting skills

Why Join Us

  • Cutting-edge domain (AI, LiDAR, SLAM)
  • Real-world impact (surveying, infrastructure)
  • High ownership in a small team
  • Low bureaucracy and fast decisions
  • Engineering-driven culture

About GeoCue Group

GeoCue Group builds LP360, a mature and business-critical desktop platform used for advanced geospatial data processing. The company is looking to invest in a deliberate technical transformation of LP360 Desktop so the product can evolve faster, become easier to maintain, and take fuller advantage of modern AI-assisted engineering workflows.
