We are seeking a highly skilled Unix/Linux System Programmer with strong expertise in C programming, Perl scripting, and Unix/Linux system and network programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting low-level system applications, network services, and security-focused solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize system-level applications on Unix/Linux platforms using C.
- Design and implement network programming solutions utilizing sockets, IPC, and other communication protocols.
- Create and maintain automation scripts and system utilities using Perl.
- Analyze and troubleshoot operating system, application, and network-related issues.
- Implement secure coding practices and promote defensive programming methodologies.
- Support authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Kerberos integration.
- Monitor system performance and recommend tuning and optimization improvements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability and security.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).
- Exposure to multi-threaded and concurrent programming.
- Knowledge of Linux security controls and identity management solutions.
- Experience in enterprise, banking, or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 a year
