THE ROLE:


The Software Architect will be responsible for defining and driving the overall software architecture for our robotic medical device systems. This role provides technical leadership in designing scalable, reliable, and compliant software solutions, aligning system architecture with business and regulatory requirements.



WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Define and maintain system architecture for complex software systems supporting robotic medical devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Establish and enforce software architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on system integration and performance optimization.
  • Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure software designs meet regulatory and compliance standards (FDA, ISO, IEC).
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across projects.
  • Support troubleshooting of complex system-level issues.
  • Drive long-term technology strategy and roadmap planning.
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions and represent software architecture in decision-making forums.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or other related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including architecture roles.
  • Expert proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and system design.
  • Experience with distributed systems, real-time systems, or embedded systems.
  • Deep knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
