Radley James is working with a leading quantitative trading and market-making firm seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its Trading Systems team.
This is an opportunity to work on the core infrastructure that powers electronic trading across global financial markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and enhancing low-latency trading systems, exchange connectivity, market data platforms, and order management infrastructure used in live production environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise low-latency C++ applications on Linux
- Build market data feed handlers and exchange connectivity gateways
- Enhance order management, book-building, and trading engine components
- Develop exchange simulators and testing frameworks
- Contribute to the evolution of trading infrastructure and messaging systems
- Support and improve mission-critical production trading platforms
Requirements
- Strong commercial C++ development experience on Linux
- Experience building low-latency, high-performance systems
- Good understanding of networking and distributed systems
- Experience with Git, debugging, testing, and performance optimisation tools
- Python and/or Bash scripting experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Previous experience within electronic trading, market data, FX, Futures, Fixed Income, or capital markets environments is highly desirable
