This role is on site at our headquarters in Wichita, KS and offers a hybrid schedule, providing you with flexibility and work/life balance. This role will participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and promptly address any issues, maintaining high availability and performance standards.
What You Will Do
- Seek out, troubleshoot, and resolve critical issues across multiple FHR business applications by leveraging your technical expertise as part of a cross-functional team.
- Design, develop, test, monitor, and maintain robust, scalable solutions while collaborating with architecture specialists and teammates to ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and well-supported.
- Explore, develop, and implement solutions that maintain and enhance our data platform applications, tools, and overall capabilities.
- Apply established software architecture principles, design patterns, and shared resources to accelerate development efforts and drive technical excellence throughout the software engineering lifecycle.
- Take on complex technical challenges, continuously expand your expertise, and pursue innovative solutions that deliver business value.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency aligned with business priorities and effectively communicate both current and future solution states to stakeholders.
- 2+ years’ experience in software engineering, software development, or a related technical role
- Experience in software engineering developing and supporting applications using Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions)
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL database technologies
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as part of your daily workflow
- Experience in React for UI development
- Experience in Serverless Stack or Serverless Framework
- Knowledge of graph databases (Neo4J preferred)
- Experience guiding, mentoring, and influencing other engineers and teams
- Professional experience in learning and applying new technology and concepts
