About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will partner with senior engineers, researchers, and key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into reliable, scalable internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of engineering initiatives, delivering high‑quality solutions through both individual development and coordination with internal teams and external partners
• Support and maintain mission‑critical systems, including dashboards, portfolio tools, trade feeds, risk platforms, and accounting/operations applications
• Design and refine APIs, frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing environments using modern architectural approaches
• Perform data investigations, reconciliations, and validation work to ensure system accuracy and reliability
• Help advance the organization’s AI strategy by integrating LLMs and AI‑enhanced workflows into internal applications, research processes, and developer tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
• Open to candidates with up to three years of experience, including recent graduates
• Internship experience, technical projects, or open‑source contributions are valued

Required Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset
• Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals and best practices
• Strong SQL skills, including database design concepts and query optimization
• Experience with one or more of the following languages: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript (knowledge of Angular or React is beneficial)
• Familiarity with Python (preferred but not required)
• Ability to build and refine front‑end interfaces
• Comfort using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and applying them responsibly in production environments
• Exposure to financial products or systems—such as mortgage‑backed securities, whole loans, structured products, portfolio management platforms, or accounting systems—is a plus
