As a Lead Software Engineer on the Store Item and Inventory Management Systems (SIIMS) team, you will partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, debug, and support the delivery of technical solutions on web and mobile platforms. The SIIMS team supports the following business processes for Retail store associates: adjustments, counts, in-store transfers, store-to-store transfers. SIIMS also manages item’s data, store price overrides, and price & promotion data. Location: Hybrid (Lakeland, FL):

- Collaborate with Product Owners to drive technical design decisions for scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
- Refine and prioritize team backlogs, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business objectives.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) workloads, resolving performance, infrastructure, and deployment issues with DevOps teams.
- Serve as a senior technical mentor, conducting code reviews, analyzing defects, and guiding solution design best practices.
- Partner with BSAs, QA, and engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality software solutions.
- Provide strategic technical guidance to leadership, influencing architecture, tooling, and development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications (design, development, and end-to-end delivery), with a proven track record leading complex, cross-team initiatives
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with .NET Core and C# (including .NET 8+), MVC
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, including experience with database design, query optimization, and the use of ORM frameworks (such as Dapper or Entity Framework) to develop efficient and scalable applications
- 3+ years designing and building microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven/distributed systems, including resiliency patterns, observability, scalability, and high availability.
- 1+ years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting application workloads deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), identifying performance bottlenecks and collaborating with DevOps teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Ability to work on call as required by leadership (Tier 4 resolution, every 3 weeks)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments collaborating closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or Blazor) integrated with backend APIs
- Experience using logging and diagnostic tools in Azure to discover, diagnose, and solve problems.
- Experience building highly scalable systems and performance tuning them.
- Regular use of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture for enterprise-scale solutions
- Test automation background (unit, integration, end-to-end/load testing) using frameworks such as xUnit, Selenium, and Robot, with a commitment to high coverage and maintainable test suites
- Experience developing Android applications using Xamarin Forms or native Android
