We are now looking for a Software Engineer with broad IT responsibilities to join JCDecaux Sverige AB in Stockholm.

About The Role
In this role, you will be a key member of a small, dynamic IT organisation where you both drive development initiatives and ensure a stable, efficient day-to-day operation. You will work closely with the IT Director and experienced colleagues and over time you will become one of the people with the best overview of our system landscape.
In short: you are the one who keeps the light on and turns plans into reality – both in the codebase and in the underlying infrastructure.
Examples Of Responsibilities And Tasks
- Drive our IT environment forward by modernising, stabilising and automating existing solutions.
- Develop IT solutions for our core systems, primarily on the Microsoft platform (.NET, SQL Server, Azure).
- Act as a natural point of contact for IT-related questions internally (first line support for employees).
- Serve as a link to external vendors, sister offices in other countries and the group IT function, the group IT function and key customers.
- Implement and improve processes for onboarding/offboarding, licence management, user administration and access control.
- Contribute to requirements work together with the business – capture needs, translate them into technical solutions and follow them through to production.
- Maintain and develop our IT/system map and work towards increased standardisation and automation.
- Participate in and occasionally lead agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban) together with developers, product owners and other key stakeholders.
- .NET / C# (occasionally VB.NET).
- MS SQL Server and Oracle.
- MS Azure and on-premise solutions.
- REST/JSON-based integrations.
Who You Are
We believe you recognise yourself in many of the following:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in system development in .NET (C#) and thrive in backend-oriented roles.
- You have strong skills in .NET, C#, MS SQL and modern APIs (REST/JSON).
- You are comfortable working in Microsoft environments in general (servers, networks, cloud services, preferably Azure).
- You have experience from agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and enjoy working closely with business stakeholders.
- You appreciate both understanding business requirements and proposing robust technical solutions.
- You are curious, unpretentious and enjoy sharing knowledge with others.
- You take strong ownership, value autonomy and enjoy being “the spider in the web” in a smaller IT organisation.
Nice to have (not mandatory)
- Experience of system or solution architecture.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Experience of Power BI, Oracle, IoT or web development (e.g. .NET Core, modern frontend frameworks).
- Experience acting as a bridge between technology and business, for example, in the role of technical project manager or team lead.
- A strong problem-solver who gets energy from simplifying, automating and improving ways of working.
- You are comfortable working with both modern technologies and legacy systems and appreciate the importance of incremental change.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable taking initiative.
- You are communicative and confident in dialogue with developers, managers, suppliers and other stakeholders
