Senior Fullstack Engineer

We're supporting a successful Australian company in the search for a Senior Software Engineer to work on AI applications. They are investing heavily in enterprise-scale AI and you will join a team leading the charge.

You'll be designing and building enterprise-scale AI solutions that make a real difference both internally and externally, working across generative and agentic AI and helping set the technical direction and standards for a growing team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building and owning scalable AI solutions from PoC through to production
• Collaborating with product managers, software engineers and data scientists to translate business requirements into production-ready AI solutions
• Contributing to system architecture and technical design decisions for AI-enabled products
• Developing, evaluating and optimising LLM applications using techniques such as RAG, prompt engineering and fine-tuning
• Building secure, reliable and high-performing APIs and microservices that support AI capabilities
• Staying ahead of emerging AI protocols, trends and standards and bringing them into enterpriseuse
• Reviewing code, raising the bar on engineering quality and mentoring engineers around you

Skills we are looking for:

• Fullstack software engineering background with a track record of shipping production-grade systems (open on backend language - .NET, Java, Kotlin etc.)
• Strong frontend experience with React, Typescript
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, authentication and secure coding practices
• Good engineering practices - CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, testing etc.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks or platforms is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product and business teams
