Role Overview
We are seeking an API Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on building enterprise integration layers to automate reservation systems. The position involves the development of the enabling layer for these automations, working on a fast-paced project within a team of engineers and architects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, Azure, and experience with AI agent development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-grade API and integration solutions using Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and Service Bus.
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# (.NET/.NET Core) and JSON, adhering to API-first principles.
- Utilize Azure Application Insights, Key Vault, and Storage Accounts to deliver secure and efficient integrations.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployments in a DevOps environment.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and product teams to translate requirements into integration solutions.
- Monitor integration observability and resolve performance or reliability issues.
- Contribute to modernization efforts by refactoring legacy integrations into API-first and event-driven architectures.
- Support innovation initiatives, including the deployment of AI-powered decision support and task automation.
Experience: This role requires 5+ years of middleware/integration engineering experience, including at least two full lifecycle Azure project implementations. Candidates should have 3-7 years of experience with both C# and Azure functions (Service Hub, Function apps).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C#/.NET Core, RESTful API development, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
- Experience building AI agents using tools like Claude, Copilot, or other similar platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and building automated deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven design, and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Microsoft certifications (Azure Developer, Azure Administrator, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Experience with iPaaS platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud and on-premise integration challenges.
- Familiarity with aviation, logistics, or operations technology is a plus.
- A background in deploying AI-powered or predictive systems into frontline environments.
