About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in the electronic security industry to join our team in Gdańsk.

This is not a typical software development position. We are building next generation software for professional security companies, including alarm monitoring platforms, CCTV design tools, AI video analytics, and integrated security management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality software applications and web platforms for the security industry.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Develop integrations with CCTV systems, video management systems (VMS), alarm receiving centers (ARC), and third party security platforms.
• Implement and maintain communication using industry standards such as SIA IP and other alarm transmission protocols.
• Work with IP cameras, video streams, ONVIF devices, AI video analytics, and edge computing solutions.
• Analyze existing applications, identify improvements, and resolve software defects.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design innovative security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience with modern software development.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSockets, REST APIs).

Preferred qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is highly valued:

• SIA IP, Contact ID, DC 09, or other alarm communication protocols.
• CCTV systems and IP cameras.
• ONVIF integration.
• Video Management Systems (Milestone, Genetec, Hikvision, Dahua, Nx Witness, or similar).
• AI based video analytics or computer vision.
• Docker and containerized applications.
• Linux environments.
• Cloud platforms and distributed systems.
