Software Development Manager

We are seeking to hire a Software Development Manager to lead and manage the development of enterprise and custom applications across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving software development initiatives, overseeing application architecture, ensuring adherence to development best practices, and leading a team of developers to deliver scalable, secure, and business-focused solutions.

As a Software Development Manager, you will work closely with business stakeholders, system analysts, infrastructure teams, and external partners to enhance and maintain enterprise systems and custom-developed applications. You will be responsible for overseeing the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), managing technical resources, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring applications are aligned with business requirements and technology standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise across both front-end and back-end development, proven leadership capabilities, experience within enterprise environments, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of developers responsible for custom application development and enterprise system enhancements.
• Define team objectives, monitor performance, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
• Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with development standards.
• Establish and enforce software development best practices, including coding standards, source control, testing, release management, security, and change management.
• Manage the design, development, maintenance, and modernization of business-critical applications and enterprise solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in application architecture, solution design, and system integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enablement.
• Lead front-end and back-end development efforts to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
• Oversee integrations between enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, and third-party systems.
• Drive application performance optimization, system reliability, and security enhancements.
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives by enabling data repositories, reporting frameworks, and business intelligence solutions.
• Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and development deliverables to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Manage application deployment activities, environment management, version control, and release processes.
• Partner with project teams and business users to prioritize enhancement requests and development roadmaps.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve application architecture, development processes, and business outcomes.
• Ensure accurate technical and user documentation is maintained for applications, integrations, and development processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software development, including leadership responsibilities within a development function.
• Proven experience leading software development teams in enterprise environments.
• Experience managing both custom-developed applications and enterprise systems.
• Strong experience across front-end, back-end, database, and integration technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing and delivering projects through the full SDLC.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Razor, WebForms, WinForms, SQL, and enterprise application development.
• Proven experience in front-end development using Angular/AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Angular Material.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, and related integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), development best practices, source control, testing, release management, and change management.
• Experience leading development activities across both custom-built and enterprise applications.
• Experience with Oracle technologies including Oracle EBS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, OIC, and OBIEE is highly desirable.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and application modernization initiatives is an advantage.
