Position Summary
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong back-end focus to help build and scale our energy market platform. You'll develop services that power settlement processing, bid submission, market workflows, and platform APIs supporting customers participating in wholesale electricity markets.
While this is a full-stack role, most work is on the back end. Front-end work is expected but is generally limited in scope. Modern AI-assisted development tools are part of our engineering workflow and are expected to improve productivity across both front-end and back-end development.
Position Details
- Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000
- Location: Hybrid (Boulder, CO)
- Full-time
- Hybrid - 2 days in the office
- Reporting to: Engineering Manager
- Design, build, and maintain back-end services using C#/.NET.
- Develop APIs supporting bid submission, settlement processing, and market workflows.
- Build reliable integrations between platform components.
- Design and optimize SQL Server databases and queries.
- Contribute to front-end functionality using JavaScript when needed.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong C#/.NET development skills.
- Experience building REST APIs and distributed services.
- Strong SQL Server and database design experience.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Experience working across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building SaaS platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based applications.
- Experience in wholesale energy markets or financial transaction systems.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
