Job Overview:

The Senior Portal Developer is responsible for the design and development of Lawson’s Intranet solution and other web-based portal solutions. The role will work with business analysts and business users to define functional and user interface requirements, develop technical specifications, code and complete unit and acceptance testing of delivered solutions. Additional responsibilities will include documenting the solutions and responding to application problems as assigned by the Director, Enterprise Information Management, using the corporate Help Desk system and supporting the underlying Intranet infrastructure including content management, collaboration and reporting components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development and execution of Lawson’s overall intranet strategy.
  

• Design and development of intranet solutions using the SharePoint platform.
  

• Interact with various stakeholders including business analysts, business users and senior leaders to gather requirements.
  

• Development and execution of an end-user (content manager) training plan.
  

• Architect and deploy portal user/group security strategy.
  

• Audit the SharePoint Intranet for out-of-date content.
  

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience administering and developing content workspaces in an enterprise portal environment, preferably using SharePoint 2013.
  

• Experience with advanced SharePoint development methodologies, Workflow, and Security.
  

• Experience developing in the Microsoft Power Platform to include PowerApps and Power Automate
  

• SharePoint branding experience, customizing UI’s using SharePoint Designer, master pages and custom solutions
  

• Four-year college degree in computer science, information systems or a related field or work equivalent work experience.
  

• Minimum of 5 (+) years application experience with Internet/Intranet technologies / platforms and integration with backend systems and databases.
  

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  

• Good interpersonal, written communication and customer relations skills.
  

• Full life cycle software development experience.
  

• Working knowledge of LDAP and MS-Active Directory security models.
  

• Cross functional experience with sales, human resources, finance, or operations is desired
  

• Experience with cloud-based SharePoint solutions (O365) a must.
  

• Experience administering hosted applications and portal technologies is a plus.
  

• Industry experience supporting distribution or manufacturing companies is a plus.
