We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a collaborative technology team focused on building and enhancing the systems that support critical business operations, data workflows, and investment processes. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of technical initiatives, including software development, data engineering, automation, and emerging AI technologies.

Working closely with engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders, you'll help design, develop, and support internal applications and infrastructure that drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation across the organization.

This role is based in either New York City, NY or Old Greenwich, CT. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal applications, data pipelines, and workflow automation tools.
  • Lead or contribute to projects from concept through deployment, working independently and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support business-critical platforms and services, including portfolio management, risk management, operational, accounting, and market data systems.
  • Build and improve APIs, software frameworks, testing strategies, and CI/CD processes to enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile data to ensure system accuracy and performance.
  • Participate in the development of AI-enabled solutions by incorporating large language models (LLMs) and intelligent automation into internal platforms and research tools.
  • Work closely with end users and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a passion for solving technical problems.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership in delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, with a solid understanding of database design and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Exposure to front-end development technologies and frameworks, including React or Angular, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python is beneficial but not required.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and modern engineering methodologies.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to financial systems, portfolio management platforms, mortgage-backed securities, structured products, loans, or accounting applications is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Open to recent graduates as well as candidates with up to three years of professional experience.
  • Relevant internships, personal projects, research work, or open-source contributions will be considered valuable experience.
