Senior Protocol Engineer
Indexed description
We’re looking for builders who care about craft and love partnering across product, design, and go-to-market to ship quickly.
Responsibilities
- Translate heterogeneous marketplace schemas into resilient MCP/A2A adapters
- Build rate limiting, authentication, and telemetry guardrails into every integration
- Partner with security to threat-model agent abuse vectors before they reach production
- Own backwards compatibility for API and protocol changes across customer fleets
- Ship instrumentation that makes reliability and latency regressions impossible to miss
- P0 incidents per integration stay below 0.2 per quarter
- Regression test coverage for MCP adapters exceeds 95% critical paths
- p95 latency across agent handoffs stays under 600ms internationally
- Customer migrations to new protocol versions complete within 30 days of launch
We know great people come from non-linear paths. These signals help us understand how you’ve grown your craft.
Core Qualifications
- 7+ years building distributed systems or protocol heavy products
- Deep experience with TypeScript or Go and a second strongly typed language
- Confidence designing fault-tolerant services that run across regions
- Comfort working with OAuth/OIDC, HMAC signatures, and zero-trust principles
- Ability to dissect and normalize third-party API schemas quickly
