Overview

Our client, a global financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise software and proprietary APIs used within trading technology environments. This role combines hands-on development, API design, technical client support, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and APIs.
  • Build and support SDKs/APIs for multiple programming languages and Windows/Linux platforms.
  • Partner with architects, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to external clients integrating with proprietary APIs.
  • Participate in architecture, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure applications meet security, performance, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong development experience with C#, Java, or C++.
  • Experience developing applications on Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Oracle, MongoDB, and messaging technologies such as Solace, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures, REST APIs, secure coding practices, and Agile development.
  • Experience with Jira, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support technical clients and API consumers.

Preferred

  • Experience with Python, microservices, AWS, Docker, or containerized applications.
  • Knowledge of automated testing (TDD/BDD), low-latency systems, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with capital markets, trading systems, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or similar.

Compensation: $136,000–$175,000 annually

Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
