As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be a key member of a small, high-impact engineering team responsible for delivering business-critical software. You'll help shape technical approaches, build high-quality solutions, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to solve real-world problems.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, improve engineering practices, and contribute to major initiatives such as the ongoing evolution of our core operational systems and data platforms. You'll have the freedom to make pragmatic decisions, own significant pieces of work, and see the direct impact of what you build.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain high-quality software applications and services
- Lead the technical delivery of complex features and projects
- Help modernise and evolve our core platforms and architecture
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Sales, Finance and other business teams to deliver valuable solutions
- Support and contribute to engineering standards, code quality and development practices
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and architectural decisions
- Mentor and support other developers, helping raise capability across the team
- Improve automation, testing, deployment and operational processes
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, learning and delivery excellence
We're looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience building and delivering commercial software applications
- Is highly proficient in C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Has experience designing and developing web applications, APIs and services
- Understands software architecture, design patterns and engineering trade-offs
- Has experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Understands automated testing, CI/CD and modern development practices
- Can balance technical quality with pragmatic business needs
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- You enjoy solving real business problems
- You're pragmatic and outcome-focused
- You take ownership and accountability for delivery
- You care about maintainability, reliability and long-term quality
- You're comfortable working in a small team where everyone contributes
- You enjoy mentoring others and helping raise engineering standards
- You challenge assumptions and continuously look for better ways of working
