About Whitman Partners
Whitman Partners is a Portland-based executive search firm specializing in perioperative leadership placement. We help hospitals and health systems find and hire top surgical services leaders nationwide.
About the Role
Whitman Partners runs a custom software platform that keeps our data flowing to and from Bullhorn, our CRM and applicant-tracking system. This role owns that platform end-to-end, and also keeps our team running day-to-day: onboarding, offboarding, and everyday tech support. You'll be the sole technical resource for the firm, with real autonomy to modernize systems and build new tools.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and extend backend services built in C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core Web APIs and background worker services)
- Write and tune SQL Server / T-SQL queries that power business reporting
- Manage schema migrations using Entity Framework Core
- Maintain two web frontends: a legacy Vue 2 dashboard and a modern Next.js / React application
- Operate production infrastructure directly, including Docker, Docker Compose, and Azure Linux virtual machines
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Write automated tests using tools such as xUnit or Vitest
- Set up and retire equipment for new hires and departing employees
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra, provide everyday endpoint troubleshooting, and support employees directly
- Manage backups, vendor relationships, and basic office network upkeep
- Serve as the go-to technical resource for the team
