Optomi, in partnership with a leading homebuilding company, is looking for a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Reston, VA.


Position Summary:

You will be part of a small, highly collaborative team focused on building modern, full-stack applications that support critical business capabilities. Your work will help enable data-driven decision-making across functions such as land acquisition, marketing, and sales.


In this role, you will design and develop end-to-end solutions, working across application development, data integration, and system design. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leadership, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that support core business operations.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building and supporting production applications
  • Hands-on experience developing full-stack applications within the Microsoft ecosystem (C#, .NET, SQL Server, Azure)
  • Experience designing and building scalable, maintainable systems in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working with APIs, data integrations, and backend services that support business applications
  • Familiarity with modern development practices (RESTful APIs, CI/CD, version control, and cloud-based development)
  • Experience working in Agile or collaborative development environments
  • Ability to take ownership of features or components from design through deployment and support
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders


What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications that support core business functions
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment
  • Build and integrate APIs and backend services to support application functionality and data flow
  • Develop solutions using technologies within the Microsoft stack, including .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure
  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineers to deliver effective solutions
  • Contribute to system design and architecture discussions, particularly within a growing, evolving environment
  • Ensure code quality and reliability through testing, code reviews, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance and stability
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to support end-to-end solution delivery
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve systems, processes, and development practices
