Develop and enhance platform BIOS and firmware for x86 server platforms, collaborating with silicon, hardware, and validation teams to deliver scalable, high-quality firmware solutions.
The role involves BIOS design and development, firmware integration, debugging, validation, and coding in C/Assembly, with a strong focus on server architecture, hardware interfaces, and industry-standard BIOS technologies.
Required:
- Experience with AMI BIOS is highly desired.
- Server firmware development experience.
- Strong understanding of x86 architecture.
- Experience with BIOS flows.
- Debug BIOS issues.
- Work primarily on BIOS debugging and release activities.
- Uses open-source technologies.
- Uses Claude AI to assist with debugging.
- Experience using Jira.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Technologies used: C, C++, BMC.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong C and Python programming skills.
- C++, Shell scripting, and Perl are nice to have.
