Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Controls Engineering Process Tools Engineer with strong C programming and Linux/Unix development experience to support the development and maintenance of automotive control system tools. The ideal candidate will work on embedded software, debugging, calibration data management, and tool enhancements for vehicle controls applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain vehicle control engineering tools.
- Debug and troubleshoot applications in Linux/Unix environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement software changes.
- Support automotive calibration data management tools.
- Create technical documentation and provide user support.
- Follow software configuration and change management processes.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Linux/Unix development and system programming.
- Knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Pointers, Bit Manipulation, File Handling, Hash Tables, and Recursion.
- Experience with Make/Makefiles, GDB, Vi/Vim, and fork().
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PostgreSQL (database connectivity and table creation).
- Knowledge of H32 and A2L file formats.
- Experience with Jira, version control, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Automotive ECU or embedded control systems experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle calibration tools and workflows.
- Experience supporting engineering tools in an automotive environment.
Note: Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory. The primary requirement is a strong C Developer with embedded Linux experience.
