We're looking for an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to help strengthen and protect our technology landscape, ensuring the security and resilience of critical systems and services that support the NHS.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking security team where you'll play a key role in identifying risks, responding to incidents, improving security controls and shaping our overall cyber security posture.
Location: Hybrid with occasional travel to Leeds OR Southampton Office.
Eligible for SC Clearance.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for protecting our IT infrastructure, networks, systems and data from a wide range of cyber threats.
- Monitoring networks, systems and security tools for threats, attacks and suspicious activity.
- Investigating security alerts, incidents and potential breaches.
- Analysing vulnerabilities and implementing measures to reduce risk.
- Managing and monitoring Identity and Access Management controls, including the detection of inappropriate access or privilege misuse.
- Researching emerging cyber threats and recommending proactive security improvements.
- Testing and evaluating security technologies and products.
- Producing reports and security updates for both technical and non-technical audiences/
- Supporting internal and external security audits.
- Responding to phishing campaigns and social engineering threats.
What you'll bring:
- Strong technical foundations and a proactive approach to cyber defence.
- Previous experience in an Information Security Analyst or similar cyber security role.
- Strong technical background with solid infrastructure, network and system security knowledge.
- Experience using vulnerability management tools, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and SIEM platforms.
- Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and/or PCI DSS.
- Experience investigating and responding to security incidents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex technical issues.
