As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You'll develop software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software problems, and communicate with internal customers to understand project requirements. As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented SW developer to join our team. Our challenge is development of the next generation image processing distributed platform
What you'll be doing:
- Research, design, implement and deliver high quality software
- Collaborate with various interfaces including developers outside the team, Algorithm team, System engineers etc.
- Continuously grow and develop skills and knowledge, learn and use advanced technologies
What you should have:
- at least 3 years of C++/Python experience in complex SW systems
- BSc in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Good design, analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
- Self-motivated, independent work capabilities, learning capabilities
- Great team player
- SW design capabilities and object-oriented programming skills.
