The opportunity

As an Application Team Lead for the Business Solution Team (BST), you will lead and develop a team of Application Managers supporting the Grid Integration business. In this role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications, ensuring they deliver reliable, efficient, and high-quality services that support operational and strategic objectives.

You will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while driving excellence in application management, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with business leaders, global Grid Integration teams, and IT stakeholders, you will ensure applications comply with established IT processes and governance standards while contributing to the long-term digital strategy of the organization.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Grid Integration Application Managers, promoting professional growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Establish clear objectives and expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support career development plans.
  • Oversee the management, support, and maintenance of business applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and user satisfaction.
  • Allocate resources effectively and prioritize activities to support business needs, operational excellence, and project delivery objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, compliance requirements, and application lifecycle management processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and global Grid Integration teams to align application strategies and roadmaps with local and global business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on application performance, operational health, risks, and key initiatives to IT leadership and management teams.
  • Drive service excellence by minimizing disruptions, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the application landscape, modernize services, and maximize business value.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to support business and technology objectives.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading and managing IT or application management teams with a focus on employee development and engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, application support models, and service delivery best practices.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based environments and familiarity with IT service management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with experience in performance measurement and reporting.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, resources, and cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and customer-focused service delivery.
