Summary:
Develop, verify, and support CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and process improvements for manufacturing operations using Mastercam, including post processor development and optimization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university, or High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience
- Minimum of 2 additional years of manufacturing or operations experience
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Mastercam CNC programs
- Experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting Mastercam post processors
- Experience programming and supporting multi-axis milling, turning, and/or grinding operations
- Ability to verify CNC programs before release to production using Vericut
- Experience troubleshooting CNC machining processes and supporting shop floor operations
- Ability to create and maintain CNC workstation instructions
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Mastercam programming experience
- Experience with Vericut
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Experience with CNC tooling and fixturing
- Project management experience
- Strong problem-solving and manufacturing process improvement skills
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam
- Develop, edit, test, and optimize Mastercam post processors to support production and improve machine performance
- Program multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding applications
- Verify CNC programs using Vericut prior to production release
- Support Manufacturing Engineering with CNC programming and machining processes
- Train operators during new machine startups, rebuilt equipment launches, and process improvements
- Provide daily CNC programming and troubleshooting support to production
- Develop and implement tooling and fixturing solutions
- Create and maintain workstation instructions for CNC operations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery
