Responsibilities
- You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, helping to design, develop, and deliver cutting‑edge workstation solutions used by some of the world’s most demanding customers.
- As an engineer on the HP Z Workstations team, you will design, develop, debug, and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS) to deliver innovative solutions to customers.
- You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software, gaining broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems.
- The ideal candidate has excellent troubleshooting skills, a drive to identify root cause, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- You should be innovative, self‑motivated, quality‑focused, and possess strong communication and technical skills.
- Professional experience in firmware development
- Strong C programming skills.
- Experience with UEFI/BIOS, microcontrollers, embedded systems or other low-level code.
- Experience with debuggers, protocol analyzers, and software development tools.
- Knowledge of hardware-software integration and low-level system design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- Ability to write clear, solid code that can be maintained by others.
- Strong debug and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and get things done.
- Passion for quality and putting customers first.
