It is a scalable, flexible, modular and robust microwave transmission system used primarily in mobile networks, supporting both TDM and Ethernet traffic.
The product consists of three main parts: the outdoor antenna, the connected radio device and an indoor part. The team in Ericsson Hungary is responsible for the indoor segment.
It is Linux based, the source code is written in C/C++, using a Java based automated test environment.
We are working in Agile teams utilizing the benefits of Continuous Integration and implementing quality standards leading towards Continuous Delivery.
What you will do
- Contribute to the whole lifecycle of a feature development: planning, execution and bug fixing
- Add your improvement ideas to product development and processes
- Develop competence in various technical domains, focusing on networking and embedded systems
- Work in cross-functional agile teams and cooperate with remote sites on a daily basis
- Perform trouble shooting and help customer support
- Experience in embedded Linux kernel development/maintenance
- Extensive device driver development and support
- Knowledge of Linux kernel internals (process scheduler, memory management, concurrency/synchronization, memory allocation, file systems) and networking subsystem;
- Familiarity with kernel development tools
- Strong debugging skills in kernel context
- Maintain contact with both upstream and vendor kernel provider
- Maintain/integrate vendor SDK for specific SoCs
- Expertise with Linux, USB, PCIe, GPIO, SPI and I2C
- Experience in modifying and building Linux system images with Yocto
- Familiarity with ARM architecture (PowerPC is an extra bonus)
- Familiarity with Real Time concepts (RT-Linux)
