Crime scales without limits; the investigations don't have to. Azonic is hiring a founding engineer to build the platform that closes that gap. You will be one of the first engineers in the company, with real ownership of the architecture, and the decisions you make now will shape how the system scales as agency work comes online.

What you will work on

• The agent infrastructure that runs investigations in parallel, and the platform analysts work in every day.
• Data pipelines that bring investigative sources into one place, built to hold up under real load.
• Deployment into secure agency environments, from our cloud to theirs.
• The reliability work that keeps long-running investigations running: observability, recovery, and performance.

What we are looking for

• You have run agent or LLM systems in production and know where they break.
• You ship. You would rather deliver something solid this week than something perfect never.
• Preference, not requirement: exposure to intelligence, investigations, or trust and safety work.

An Honest Word About The Work

Azonic is an intelligence company, and the expectations that come with that apply to everyone in it. Much of what you build and see stays inside the company. Discretion is a condition of the role, security practice is part of the daily work, and some of the subject matter sits close to the worst of what happens online. The engineering itself is early-stage: a small team, a high standard, and decisions you will make quickly and own personally.
