Are you passionate about embedded systems and developing innovative firmware that powers mission-critical industrial technology? We're seeking a Firmware & Embedded Systems Engineer to join a New Product Development team focused on designing next-generation electric actuation platforms used in process automation and control systems around the world.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on products from concept through production while collaborating with talented engineers across hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and software disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and debug embedded firmware in C and C++ for microcontroller-based systems
• Develop reliable, low-level software that interfaces directly with hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Create embedded solutions that meet demanding customer requirements for reliability, performance, and low-power operation
• Participate in code reviews and support software quality initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve firmware and embedded system issues
• Support product verification, validation, and production readiness activities
• Research and evaluate emerging embedded technologies
• Assist with project planning, estimation, and continuous improvement efforts
• Contribute to the long-term evolution of next-generation electric actuation products

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Professional experience developing embedded software or firmware for microcontroller-based systems
• Strong programming experience with C and C++
• Experience working with embedded hardware and microcontroller-based products
• Ability to read electrical schematics and component datasheets
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience
• Experience with RTOS
• Embedded hardware and software debugging experience
• Familiarity with source control, defect tracking, and software development lifecycle tools
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and HART
• Experience with object-oriented design methodologies and UML
• Experience with C#
• Experience supporting products from concept through production release
