We're seeking a bilingual (Japanese & English) Marketing, Programming & Partnerships Manager to help bring our brand to life through inspired storytelling, cultural partnerships, destination programming, and integrated marketing. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you'll help shape experiences that engage both travelers and the local community while positioning 1 Hotel Tokyo as one of the city's most compelling lifestyle destinations.

Your Role at a Glance

As Marketing, Programming & Partnerships Manager, you’ll be the creative and culturally attuned right hand to the Director of Marketing. You will be a key player in connecting the hotel to the people, brands, creators, and communities that define modern Tokyo. Equal parts marketer, curator, and producer, you'll develop thoughtful partnerships, create culturally relevant programming, and amplify our story across every guest touchpoint.

You'll collaborate across Food & Beverage, Wellness, Operations, Sales, Public Relations, Social Media, and our Global Brand team to ensure every activation reflects the values of 1 Hotels while creating memorable experiences for guests and locals alike.

Key Responsibilities

Programming & Partnerships

• Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with local artists, designers, chefs, wellness practitioners, musicians, cultural institutions, and purpose-driven brands.
• Develop an always-on calendar of programming targeted to hotel guests and locals.
• Curate experiences that celebrate Tokyo's creative culture while reflecting the values of nature, sustainability, and conscious luxury.
• Support the execution of global brand initiatives while creating locally relevant activations unique to Tokyo.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, production logistics, creative assets, vendor coordination, and post-event reporting.

Marketing & Storytelling

• Help develop integrated marketing plans supporting hotel, culinary, wellness, nightlife, and seasonal initiatives.
• Create compelling storytelling across digital, social, email, web, and on-property channels.
• Ensure every campaign reflects the 1 Hotels brand voice while embracing local culture and relevance.
• Collaborate with PR, creative agencies, and internal teams to amplify campaigns across paid, earned, and owned media.

Digital & Social

• Manage the hotel's social media presence through thoughtful planning, publishing, and community engagement.
• Monitor trends, cultural conversations, and emerging platforms to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Track performance and optimize content based on audience insights and analytics.

Food, Beverage & Nightlife

• Partner with Culinary and Bar teams to position every venue as a destination in its own right.
• Develop marketing strategies for restaurant launches, seasonal menus, chef collaborations, guest bartenders, cultural dinners, wellness dining experiences, and signature events.
• Support programming that drives both hotel guests and local audiences throughout the day and evening.
• Help establish the hotel's restaurants and bars as cultural gathering places within Tokyo.
• Influencer & Creator Partnerships
• Work alongside agency partners to identify creators, KOLs, media, and collaborators aligned with the 1 Hotels brand.
• Coordinate hosted stays, content creation, and on-property experiences.
• Assist with creative direction, production logistics, and content capture to ensure brand consistency and exceptional storytelling.

Brand Stewardship

• Champion the 1 Hotels brand across every guest touchpoint.
• Ensure all communications reflect our commitment to sustainability, design, wellness, and exceptional hospitality.
• Serve as a brand ambassador internally and externally, fostering strong relationships across teams and partners.

Performance & Insights

• Monitor marketing and programming KPIs across digital, social, partnerships, and activations.
• Prepare regular reporting and actionable insights to continually improve results.
• Use data to inform future campaigns, programming, and partnership opportunities.

About You

• Fluent in both Japanese and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, brand partnerships, lifestyle programming, events, hospitality, or luxury lifestyle.
• Deeply connected to Tokyo's creative, culinary, design, fashion, wellness, and cultural communities.
• Passionate about building authentic partnerships that create meaningful experiences.
• Experienced managing multiple projects from concept through execution.
• Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing, content strategy, and creator collaborations.
• Comfortable working with agencies, vendors, creators, and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills.
• Curious, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and solutions-oriented.
