We are looking for a Marketing and Ecosystem Manager to build and activate the startup and innovation ecosystem in South Korea through hands-on marketing, content, and partnership.


Role and Responsibilities

1. Marketing, Lead Generation & Communications

  • Create and execute content and campaigns end-to-end, including social media, event materials, and program messaging.
  • Create and manage Korean-language content for social media and websites.
  • Support lead generation through content, events, and ecosystem activation by attracting startups, corporate partners, and ecosystem stakeholders into Start2 Group’s pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with the BD team to align marketing activities with Start2 Group’s goals.
  • Handle public relations and community outreach efforts to increase brand awareness and ecosystem visibility.
  • Build and manage relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders (accelerators, VCs, corporates, government institutions)
  • Monitor key performance metrics and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Translate global materials into locally relevant narratives for the Korean ecosystem


2. Community Management & Engagement

  • Manage and grow the community in South Korea by fostering engagement, answering inquiries, and maintaining an active presence.
  • Organize and co-host networking events, meetups for startups, and entrepreneurs.
  • Moderate online community platforms (social media, Slack, newsletters) and ensure high-quality interactions.
  • Identify high-potential startups, partners, and stakeholders within the community and surface qualified opportunities to the Business Development team.


3. Events

  • Drive community growth through curated events and networking initiatives.
  • Use events as a primary channel for ecosystem activation and lead generation
  • Own end-to-end execution of events (from concept to promotion to on-site delivery)
  • Manage end-to-end planning of community engagement events.
  • Gather feedback and provide insights to improve events.


Key Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Korean and English (Native Korean required) – Must be able to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • 3+ years of experience working in startups or supporting startup ecosystems (e.g., accelerators, incubators, venture programs, or innovation hubs).
  • Proven ability to execute marketing initiatives hands-on (content creation, event execution, campaign rollout)
  • Experience working closely with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of the South Korean startup ecosystem and key stakeholders.
  • Experience managing social media, content marketing, and event planning.
  • Passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and global business expansion.


Skills Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to track marketing and funnel performance.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools (Slack, social media platforms, email marketing software, event platforms).
  • Basic design or content creation skills (Canva, Photoshop, video editing) is a plus.


Other Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with startup accelerators, government startup programs, or community initiatives is preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Regular presence in Start2 office in Seoul.


This role is execution-focused and requires a hands-on approach. Candidates who prefer purely strategic or managerial roles may not be the best fit.
