What You’ll Do


At Summit Financial Group, we are focused on building a marketing function that is organized, scalable, and deeply connected to advisor and client needs. The Marketing Operations Lead plays a central role in making that vision a reality.


This role is responsible for creating structure, visibility, and consistency across all marketing initiatives. You will bring organization to complex ideas, ensure projects move forward, and help the team operate with clarity and accountability. You will serve as the operational backbone of the marketing team, connecting strategy to execution.

Key Responsibilities


Marketing Operations & Project Management

  • Own the marketing project pipeline, calendars, timelines, and deliverables
  • Maintain a clear, centralized view of all marketing initiatives
  • Track progress, deadlines, dependencies, and next steps across projects
  • Translate ideas into actionable plans and structured timelines
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing & Growth to support prioritization and follow-through

Event Operations & Execution

  • Oversee logistics for client events, advisor meetings, and webinars
  • Manage timelines, guest lists, RSVP tracking, and communications
  • Coordinate vendors, materials, and on-site execution details
  • Ensure events are well-organized and connected to follow-up activity

Reporting & Insights

  • Track marketing activity, campaign performance, and event outcomes
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports
  • Organize data from CRM systems, marketing platforms, and event tools
  • Support the team in identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

Systems, Data & Process Improvement

  • Manage marketing systems, trackers, and databases
  • Maintain clean and accurate lists, segmentation, and campaign data
  • Develop and document repeatable workflows for key processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency

Advisor & Team Support

  • Manage intake and prioritization of marketing requests
  • Communicate timelines, updates, and expectations clearly
  • Support advisor-facing campaigns, follow-up, and sales enablement efforts
  • Ensure advisors receive consistent, timely, and organized support

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining visibility and momentum
  • Experience creating structure, systems, and workflows
  • Clear and professional communication style
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, CRM tools, and marketing platforms
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems early
  • A team-oriented approach with a focus on supporting others

Preferred Experience

  • Marketing operations, project management, or event coordination experience
  • Exposure to CRM systems, marketing platforms, or project management tools
  • Experience in financial services is helpful but not required
