About The Role
Prime Data Centers is seeking a Market Intelligence & Strategy Analyst to build and operate the commercial intelligence function that shapes how Prime competes, grows, and allocates capital. This role sits at the intersection of customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and market trends — translating raw intelligence into clear strategic direction for leadership and the Investment & Capital Markets team.
This is not a research-for-research's-sake role. The ideal candidate is a structured thinker who can synthesize information quickly, earn trust with hyperscaler accounts and internal stakeholders, and build repeatable processes that keep Prime ahead of the market.
What You'll Do
What you'll do
Market Intelligence & Customer Requirements
- Systematize the capture and analysis of customer requirements across Prime's hyperscaler and enterprise accounts (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple, and others)
- Develop and maintain a structured framework for tracking evolving customer technical specifications, power and capacity requirements, and decision timelines
- Partner with the commercial team to translate deal-level intelligence into portfolio-wide insights that inform site selection, product development, and capacity strategy
- Lead Voice of Customer (VoC) programs including win/loss analysis, RFP debrief capture, and structured account interviews
- Build and maintain a live competitive intelligence database covering major colocation and hyperscale development peers across key markets
- Track competitor capacity announcements, pricing signals, power procurement strategies, land and fiber acquisitions, and capital raising activity
- Produce regular competitive briefings for executive leadership, sales, and the Investment & Capital Markets team
- Identify competitive gaps and differentiation opportunities that inform Prime's go-to-market positioning and product roadmap
- Monitor and synthesize macro trends in data center demand, AI infrastructure, power markets, sustainability requirements, and regulatory environments across key geographies
- Develop market sizing models, absorption analyses, and supply/demand forecasts to support Prime's development pipeline prioritization
- Produce quarterly market outlook reports and ad hoc strategic analyses for the CEO, CFO, and Investment & Capital Markets team
- Represent Prime's market perspective in executive presentations, investor materials, and partner discussions as needed
- Work closely with the Investment & Capital Markets team to ensure market intelligence directly informs underwriting assumptions, portfolio strategy, and capital allocation decisions
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to ensure field intelligence flows back into central systems in a structured, consistent way
- Collaborate with Development and Technical Operations to align customer requirements with Prime's product capabilities and campus roadmap
- 5–8 years of experience in strategy, market intelligence, investment analysis, or a related field; data center, real estate, or infrastructure sector experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build structured intelligence programs from scratch — not just contribute to existing ones
- Experience working with or within hyperscaler, cloud, or large enterprise accounts is a significant plus
- Prior exposure to capital markets, investment underwriting, or financial modeling is desirable given the close partnership with the Investment & Capital Markets team
- Exceptional analytical and synthesis skills — able to turn large volumes of disparate information into clear, actionable insight
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Highly proficient in Excel/financial modeling; familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
- Process-builder mindset: designs systems that scale, not one-off analyses
- Intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of working with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment
- Competitive salary range of $115-135k, dependent upon a candidate's relevant experience and interview, with a performance bonus and a capital project bonus program
- Dollar-for-dollar 401k employer match that is fully vested after 90-days of employment
- 100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability
- Over 4-weeks of Paid Time Off + Sick time
