Role Description The Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, KY, responsible for the daily operations of a multi-family residential community. This role oversees leasing activities, resident relations, and property upkeep to ensure a positive living experience and strong occupancy levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing resident communications, coordinating maintenance and repairs, enforcing community policies, and supporting marketing and outreach efforts. The Community Manager also monitors budgets, prepares reports, and collaborates with regional and corporate teams to meet financial and operational goals.
Qualifications
  • Experience in property or community management, preferably in multi-family housing, with strong knowledge of leasing practices and resident retention strategies.
  • Proficiency in customer service and conflict resolution, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including handling multiple priorities, managing schedules, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Basic financial and administrative skills, such as understanding budgets, rent collections, reporting, and use of property management software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional email correspondence and clear, respectful in-person communication.
  • Ability to work on-site, respond promptly to community needs, and collaborate with maintenance and support staff.
  • Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is beneficial; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and post-secondary education in business or property management is a plus.
