Director of Communications
Department: Communications
Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing
We are currently seeking Director of Communications to join Shangri-La Kyoto Sales team.
In this role, you will plan, direct, and coordinate all marketing and communications activities, promoting and maintaining the hotel’s image under the guidance of the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and in accordance with established

- Collaterals & Direct Mailing
- Promotions
- Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English
- Good computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- University degree
- Familiarity with media contacts (Desirable)
- Education or training in a related field (Desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field with a solid record of achievements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Resourceful and able to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Presentable and professional appearance
- Knowledge of competitor landscape and hospitality-related industries (Desirable)
